| about this
photograph: Burnt out cars are very hazardous,
the various chemical reactions leave poisonous substances,
and of course there is the sharp rusty and often protruding
metal. To protect myself I make sure my tetanus injections
are up to date and even on the warmest day I wear a hat
and thick clothing because when concentrating on obtaining
"the" picture it is easy to forget the contaminated
environment that I'm in. Of course the car and surrounding
areas are covered with oil, charred ash and metal in an
advanced stage of rust so it's advisable to wear clothing
that can be thrown way if it gets damaged. When I spotted
this car I was dressed in my best cloths and on a very
tight schedule between meetings, no time realistically
to stop but I couldn't pass it by and took just a few
shots of the panels before going on my way. |
